Open late until 7pm on Thursdays!

Our library is part of the Lincoln Trail Libraries System, which means that if you can’t find what you are looking for here, you can borrow it through inter-library loan at any of the 52 libraries in the network.

The library has sections for young children, teenagers, fiction and non-fiction, and a reference section, as well as a great selection of DVDs and VHS tapes available for check out. There is also a section of new releases available for rent for $1. The library also offers books on CDs and large print books for visually impaired individuals. You can read the newspaper there every day, as the library subscribes to the Charleston Courier and the Marshall Advocate.

The library has five public access computers connected to the internet, as well as a computer set up for preschool children with educational games. There is a meeting room downstairs, available for rent for private parties for a donation, and for public meetings for free. The meeting room is available any day, from 9am to 9pm.

Registration is free for anybody living within the Martinsville school district. To register, you will need to bring a picture ID with your address (such as Driver’s license or state ID card). Your Martinsville Library ID is valid at any of the 52 libraries in the network.
